Max Gomez was born and raised in Taos, New Mexico, where he fell under the influence of country and blues singer-songwriters at an early age. After becoming a fixture in the New Mexico music scene, Gomez left home to pursue a broader horizon. His debut album, Rule the World (New West Records), earned critical acclaim and launched a touring career that has taken him coast to coast across the U.S., into Canada, and throughout Western Europe.

In August of last year, Gomez released Memory Mountain, produced by Mark Howard. Presented in partnership with Día de Muertos PNW, Downtown Art Walk, El Centro de la Raza, The Rabbit Box, and the Seattle Office of Economic Development, this special event honors Día de Muertos while celebrating Seattle’s vibrant arts community and the diverse cultures that make our city unique. As one of Seattle’s oldest and most beloved gathering places, Pike Place Market welcomes people from all backgrounds to connect through art, music, food, and shared experiences.

Griffin House is an American singer-songwriter and storyteller. Touring and making records for over 20 years, House has a discography that includes over 13 albums. His debut record “Lost and Found” (2004) was featured on CBS Sunday Morning by music critic and then VP MTV/VH1, Bill Flanagan, who named House one of the best emerging singer-songwriters of our time.

After forging a loyal fan base through years of grassroots touring as an opener for acts such as John Mellencamp and the Cranberries, House broke through as a national headliner in 2009 with an appearance on Late Night with Craig Ferguson and the release of his underground hit “The Guy That Says Goodbye to You is Out of His Mind.”

The music documentary “Rising Star,” released on Amazon Prime in 2019, chronicles House’s journey through the music business, as he attempts to balance the challenges of life as a traveling modern-day troubadour with marriage, fatherhood and sobriety.

House’s music has been featured on prime time television shows such One Tree Hill, Rescue Me, Party of Five, and Everwood, and reviewed in magazines such as Paste, No Depression and Rolling Stone. American Songwriter writes “if you want to be blown away by raw talent, look no further than Griffin House.” His latest release “The Tides” is a five song EP recorded with Grammy Award-winning producer Jacquire King and is set for release on Aug 29, 2023. House will appear this year at Sisters Folk Festival and will continue his US tour in 2023-2024.

“With lyrics covering everything from vigilante cryptids to bad trips in abandoned trailers, Adira Sharkey’s songwriting sets her apart in the Americana scene. Her low-slung voice lends itself perfectly to her raw, unfiltered storytelling, where her songs take audiences to the darker side of love, longing, and life’s misadventures. Like any unusual art, her voice isn’t for everyone, even inspiring one YouTube commenter to note “weird voice.” Still others are won over by Adira’s low rasp: “[she’s] like if Cher was country”, explained PNW folk pop favorite Izzy Burns. Often joined by an upright bass player, her rhythmic vocal arrangements and percussive finger picking is complemented with traditional roots music accompaniment, delivering a punchy alt-country sound. She’s honed a bluesy folk feel from years of playing shows up and down the west coast, and has recently had the distinct honor of opening for Grammy nominated artist Kelsey Waldon at Seattle’s Sunset Tavern. Warren Jackson Hearne is a nationally touring singer, multi-instrumentalist, and finger-style guitarist who writes original music blending Southern, folk, experimental, jazz, and blues. Hearne has spent decades refining a style that the Great Falls Tribune calls “one of the most original folk musicians working today."
Warren was born to exceptionally musical parents, Lindy and Lynda Hearne. The Hearnes started Warren on music early, enrolling him in piano lessons at age four, continuing musical training in Memphis playing drums while spending formative hours in the control room at Ardent Studios where his father recorded. Lynda relocated to Montana, and through Warren’s schooling in Missoula, he joined the marching band and eventually found the guitar. By fifth grade, he was playing violin, bass, clarinets, and saxes, leading him to begin composing his own songs at age 15.  
The Dallas Observer noted that 'everything Warren Jackson Hearne touches turns to gold', frequently nominating his solo work, projects, and collaborators for awards. If folk music is defined as either a type of traditional music that is passed down through families or as Mike Seeger puts it “all the music that fits between the cracks,” then Hearne is comfortable with that category.  
He is working on a new solo album, an album for a new band, and longer pieces for theater and other multi-media projects. You can bet that all of these projects will strike the listener as different from the norm, for as the Denton Record-Chronicle says, "everything about him is authentically and uniquely him.

Red McAdam, A Jersey City, NJ native, Red makes no effort to fit the country mold, but rather draws from the unique and largely unsung landscape of his world. Stranger-than-fiction episodes from his time in the emergency services, hazy memories from the road, preposterous characters with bizarre motives, and plain old bullshit mingle with vulnerable expressions of a tumultuous life and threadbare heart.

Taylor Rae spent years touring behind Mad Twenties, the career-launching debut album that spent more than 30 weeks on the Americana Radio charts. While the album's lead single, "Home on the Road," climbed into the Top 10, Rae kept the pedal glued to the metal, driving herself from show to show, watching America unfold outside the car windshield. 

Taylor Rae and Sam Hodgson created Lemongrass, a refreshing iteration of the classic Folk Duo. Drawing from the tradition of The Avett Brothers, Shakey Graves, and Mumford & Sons, the duo harmonizes while playing percussion, using kick drum and tambourine.

On her third album with Oh Boy Records, and her fifth since beginning her career a decade ago, Emily Scott Robinson once again unveils her mastery as a performer and storyteller. With her 2026 release Appalachia — recorded at Dreamland Recording Studios with Grammy-nominated producer Josh Kaufman — Robinson opens herself up to experimentation and sings in her crystal-clear voice about resilience, love, grief and hope.

Robinson’s talent is no surprise to the music industry — she’s now a veteran touring artist, both at home and abroad. Her records Traveling Mercies (2019) and American Siren (2021) each landed high on Rolling Stone’s “Best Country and Americana Albums” and Stereogum’s “10 Best Country Albums” year-end lists. She’s been lauded by the Washington Post, Billboard, American Songwriter and No Depression, and earned the 19th spot on NPR’s “100 Best Songs of 2021” with her song “Let ‘Em Burn.” It was her 2020 release “The Time for Flowers,” an anthem of hope recorded at home in the midst of the global pandemic, that caught the attention of Oh Boy Records, the independent label founded by John Prine in 1981. Robinson jumped at the opportunity to join the free-spirited and beloved record label carrying on her hero’s legacy. Robinson believes the songs on Appalachia are the best she’s ever written — she sings about her grandmother slipping into dementia, a cash-only saloon full of characters, and gratitude for life, despite its hardships. The album features a duet with Grammy winner John Paul White that celebrates the kind of love that comes with scars and age, and a hymn for anyone who’s ever failed or fallen short.

“There’s this thing I do with every record I make,” she says. “I knit a prayer into it, and I ask for all these songs to find their way to everyone who needs them. I ask these songs to be of service, to help people find and experience joy.”

Veteran Seattle "Doom-Wop" band Prom Queen is back after a years long hiatus to perform at The Rabbit Box Theatre. Venus & the Vixens was a smash hit interactive rock musical by Martha Enson and Sari Breznau which premiered in Seattle in 2024. This party celebrates the release of the original soundtrack, recorded at Jack Straw Studios, with a live performance of the electro-pop score, performed by an all-female band, the Vixens, with Caela Bailey and Joel Domenico reprising the roles of Venus and Cupid.

Joel RL Phelps is musician and songwriter originally from Montana, now living in Vancouver, known for his work with the indie rock bands Silkworm and The Downer Trio. He started playing music in around 1982, co-founding a regionally infamous post-punk group, Ein Heit, in Missoula in 1983, and then formed rock ‘n’ roll ensemble Silkworm in 1988. After 3 LPs and many national tours, Phelps left Silkworm in 1994. Silkworm, having staked a claim as one of the U.S.’s most important bands, has reunited with Joel in 2025/26 to play several US dates. Joel struck out on his own in 1995 forming his own group, The Downer Trio, featuring Seattle residents William Herzog (formerly of Citizen's Utilities, Neko Case, Sunn O))),and Earth) and Robert Mercer (Zebra Hunt, Fallen Oaks), musicians with a similar minimal sensibility. With five albums, two EP’s and two singles and some compilation appearances to their collective credit, the group has assembled an accomplished and formidable body of work: no matter what the self-effacing Phelps might tell you to the contrary.

The Triple Door presents Peter Bradley Adams at The Rabbit Box

"Adams is fast developing as a songwriter who both inspires and questions" – Los Angeles Times Magazine

Peter Bradley Adams introduced himself as a member of Eastmountainsouth, the duo he put together with fellow songwriter and vocalist Kat Maslich-Bode. The demos the duo made, produced by Adams, blended pop and folk with subtle electronic touches, making it a pioneering effort in the realm of folktronica with a satisfying blend of ancient folklore and modern technology. Robbie Robertson (of The Band) signed Eastmountainsouth to DreamWorks, but a major label shake up led to the band’s demise.

Adams launched his solo career with Gather Up (2006), a brooding, autumnal album recorded in his apartment. Its hushed melancholy won rave reviews and led to Leavetaking (2008), an understated folk rock album that featured the hit “The Longer I Run”, followed by Traces (2009), and Between Us (2011), collectively selling over 275,000 single downloads. Adams continues his introspective explorations of the middle ground between hope and heartache on The Mighty Storm…
