Her breakthrough hit "Mother, Mother" topped the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart and became an anthem for a generation of women who refused to be silenced. Kim Virant with special guest, Dejha Colantuono
The Rabbit Box presents Kim Virant with special guest, Dejha Colantuono
Friday, Aug. 21st / Doors 6pm / Music 7pm
A fixture of Seattle’s music scene, Kim Virant emerged in the ’90s as the powerhouse frontwoman of Lazy Susan, delivering a gritty yet melodic edge that earned her a reputation as a dynamic performer with an unmistakable presence. After the band parted ways, keeping the rock and twang, she launched a solo career, rooted in evocative lyrics and a voice that can soothe or shake you to your core and is always original. Her sound is organic, lived-in, and unapologetically heartfelt—reminding listeners that while eras shift, true artistry doesn’t. She has opened for Pearl Jam, Robert Plant & Jimmy Page, X, and Joan Jett—underscoring her commanding magnetism and musical prowess. 2026 brings a new album for Kim, Orion’s Belt, covering love, loss, and everything in between - produced by Max Rose. She has the good fortune to play with amazingly talented musicians: Chris Friel/drums, Gary Westlake/guitar, Jeff Rouse/bass, Max Rose/sax & guitar, Kathy Moore/guitar & piano.

Adrienne LaVey ~ Romantique
The Rabbit Box presents Adrienne LaVey ~ Romantique
Saturday, Aug. 22nd / Doors 6pm / Performance begins at 7pm
$20 adv. / $25 door: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/adrienne-lavey-romantique-2026-08-22-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-526ec6
Franca-Latina mezzo-soprano Adrienne LaVey makes her Rabbit Box debut to perform the most passionate French and Italian arias and art songs of the romantic era. With her unique chocolatey and sparkling mezzo-soprano voice, she will make you fall in love with these pieces again and again. As is her signature dramatic flair, Miss LaVey refuses to allow these pieces to be performed with sterility and perfection, but rather with the passion with which they were written. She will also reunite with tenor Timothy Keller for a heartbreaking duet from La Favorite, all accompanied by Christopher Powell on piano. Adrienne LaVey is an operationally-trained vocalist based out of Seattle with a love for French and Italian operatic repertoire. A native Washingtonian, she has made Seattle her home artistically and personally. She produces intimate, immersive, and accessible operatic shows around the Seattle area, inviting her audiences into the world of the pieces that she falls in love with, rather than what mezzo-sopranos are expected to be performing. She loves showcasing pieces that are often off the beaten path that her audiences may not have heard before, and delights when they identify with it. Adrienne has curated a cocktail, the Maiden’s Blush no2, that can be ordered at the event.
Butch Bastard / Elizabeth and the Catapult with Jon Titterington
The Rabbit Box presents Butch Bastard / Elizabeth and the Catapult with Jon Titterington
Sunday, Aug. 23rd / Doors 7pm / Show 8pm
GA Seated $25 adv. / $30 door: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/butch-bastard-elizabeth-and-the-catapult-with-jon-titterington-2026-08-23-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seat-35e910 * Taxes and fees applied at point of sale
Elizabeth Ziman, who performs as Elizabeth and the Catapult, is a critically acclaimed singer/songwriter from New York, living and working in Brooklyn. She's toured with the likes of Sara Bareilles and Kishi Bashi; collaborated with Esperanza Spalding, Gillian Welch, Blake Mills and Ben Folds; scored, with Paul Brill, a variety of international award-winning documentaries including "Trapped," a Peabody winner; and won an Independent Music Award for Songwriting, Folk category. Her songs have been featured in national television campaigns for Google, Amazon and "So You Think You Can Dance" amongst others. She’s released five albums, the latest, “Sincerely, e” was released by Compass Records in 2021. Her song “Together Alone” was on All Songs Considered top 10 songs of the year in 2021. In 2025 she won the annual DAG Prize for music.
Butch Bastard is the moniker of Ian Murray (he/him), a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer crafting literate, emotionally resonant music. Originally hailing from Seattle and now based in Los Angeles, Murray’s work as Butch Bastard reflects a deep commitment to narrative songwriting, melodic sophistication, and a quietly defiant independence.
Elizabeth is joined by Jon Titterington (Father John Misty) on piano and guitar. MO - "...a converging, titanic exhibition of rock n' roll" - Paste Magazine "...like Pinkerton-era Weezer as interpreted by The Chipmunks" - Pitchfork "...one of the best power-pop artists in the underground." - Most know him as the piano player in Father John Misty, but Jon's other musical interests have led to composition work for FX’s “The Bear,” years as a session player for hire, and many collaborations in the folk rock scenes of Hollywood and New York City. All of these experiences inform his debut solo album, See You at the Finish Line, an excursion into heartbreak, morbidity, satire, and social anxiety set to the sound of nervous, hooky pop rock.

Writing music for more than half her life, Chloe Tang’s breakout trajectory first turned heads when she opened a 4,000-cap room for pop superstar Dua Lipa in 2018 — at a venue she had worked security at just months prior. Since this full circle moment, Chloe has been independently writing and performing between Los Angeles and Phoenix while building a world that blends emotionally charged pop, dark R&B, and rock influences into music that feels both cinematic and unapologetically raw. As Chloe jokes, her music says: “love me, but leave me alone.” With no label support, Chloe’s catalog has amassed over 11 million streams organically while landing placements on Spotify playlists including Jasmine, Fresh Finds, All New Pop, mood., and Dope AF. Along the way, she has shared stages with artists including Audrey Nuna, Thuy, UPSAHL, REI AMI, Yung Pinch, and EMELINE, while collaborating with acclaimed creatives such as Johan Lenox, Shawn Wasabi, Sweet Talker, and Chizzy. Her work has also been featured by outlets including Ones To Watch, Mundane, Forbes, and Rolling Stone. Chloe's first single of 2026 landed on Spotify’s Jasmine playlist spotlighting API artists, followed by performances at VIVA Phoenix and Departure Festival in Toronto, where she was selected as one of six “Rising Artists.” Now, Chloe brings her emotionally explosive live show to Rabbit Box for a special Seattle headline performance blending alt-pop attitude, dark femininity, and high-energy catharsis.

Vivienne DiMarco wants you to be FREE. The Seattle-based guitarist’s debut album, Pressure, out now via Loosegroove Records, is a fantastically funky celebration of self-expression; a call of the wild urging people to express the most authentic and audacious version of themselves. Its sonic wingspan is equal parts Parliament meets Bauhaus, Ace Frehley meets Ian Curtis, Grace Jones meets Johnny Thunders. “Music to me is like a carriage ride in an old ‘50s movie where everyone has glorious furs on. It’s interstellar space travel to the other side of the galaxy. I think of it like being a cowboy alone by yourself. It’s hard work, but you have to be amazing because it’s life or death out there,” proclaims DiMarco. “You can’t be afraid to show people who you are. You must stay strong in your convictions because you have no one else to depend on when the chips are down. When I make music, I’m free to express myself. Free to not be in a box of masculine or feminine. The universe has put me here to say it’s ok—we can be free; help yourself any way that you need.” True to DiMarco’s vision, the eight tracks on Pressure, produced by Funkscribe aka Anthony Warner, offer without hesitation a full-body embrace of kaleidoscopic influences like darkwave, trance, glam, and groove. Sonically, the recording melds live drums with electronic drums, layered keyboards with long chords and minimal changes. “Pressure,” the title track and first single, is unapologetically Funkadelic, while simultaneously begging the question of how long it will take for people to be who they really are.
“I was raised in Toledo, Ohio with a strictly Midwestern outlook, don’t make waves, keep your head down and do as you’re told,” says DiMarco. “As I grew older, I realized that, in order to be happy in this life, I had to reimagine myself in different terms than the fear I was raised with.” DiMarco, who chooses to keep his true identity separate from his work as an artist, headed West with its promise of a potential holy land where he could let his freak flag fly. Relocating to Seattle, he worked as a construction worker by day to make ends meet. He’d invent the character of Vivienne DiMarco as a means to pursue, through musical expression, the complex identities he’d been suppressing. He raised his profile considerably in the Northwest after joining soul wunderkind Brittany Davis’ band as lead guitarist. Indeed, the image of DiMarco in 7-inch heels and fishnet stockings wielding a Les Paul onstage with a blind, non-binary, African American vocalist/keyboardist was a truly defiant statement in and of itself. Now stepping out with his solo endeavor, DiMarco further seeks to expand his vision that gives autonomy to everyday people trapped in their box, giving those disaffected souls the power to fulfill their fantasies. To that end, “The Storm” examines being raised in the church with Bible study and youth retreats, but summoning the courage to push back against the indoctrination. “Safety Place” is an uptempo, joyous jam that gets down and boogies as it offers solace to someone who’s lost their place in the world. There’s even a “stark ass, dark love song” in “Baby,” that begs a lover to stop the pain, during which DiMarco “cried like a child in the studio” while recording the song. “The music on Pressure is a hybrid of all the different elements of my personality,” says DiMarco. “It allows me to be this fantasy person full of confidence and relate to all kinds of different people who might be feeling the same as I did. I want to inspire people to break out, not to do what I’m doing necessarily, but to do what brings each individual joy in their own lives. We have one life to live, so go for it—let it rip.”

His style elevates the ‘blues’ to a place where roots are respected, yet nudged towards the future. He consistently captures, then rivets listeners with precise, passionate performances.” - Jefferson Magazine (Sweden)

“Nick plays from the heart with high energy, it is definitely THE blues” – Lee Oskar

Now a four-piece band, MyVeronica is still an outlet for “exploring the deeply personal through the universal,” shares Lin. The band seeks catharsis and exorcism: accessing the deep, sensitive part of yourself that doesn’t have space in daily life. MyVeronica embodies a DIY ethos, prioritizing authenticity and community. Formed as a group in 2021 in order to play a Halloween show, the band cut its teeth in the Los Angeles DIY scene surrounding UCLA. The band continues to play shows all over Los Angeles. Sam Weber is a Portland-based songwriter whose reputation precedes him. If you haven’t seen him in your town on one of his many extended tours, you might have seen his name on marquees beside Dawes, Feist, or Madison Cunningham (and in the latter's liner notes as a songwriter on her latest LP, Ace). His songcraft is only rivaled by his musicianship, both of which are disciplined enough to stun and feel effortless. He’s well-practiced at his trade, touring solo or with an ensemble domestically and abroad since 2013. His relentless output — now counting eight full length records in his discography — has led to an examination of human existence through self analysis, eternal in a fragmenting modern world. He is a Scorpio.
Berkley (Portland, OR) With a voice that straddles delicacy and huskiness, Portland songwriter Berkley takes the mantle from the 70s Laurel Canyon scene. Jones’s signature progressive flourishes and expansive influences keep him out of the heritage revivalism pack as he ventures into new (for him) territory of country-tinged, folk-leaning tunes on his second LP Vaquero.

Desert Hollow is the special place where the open road meets the back porch. Blending the spirit of their roots in the California desert and West Virginia countryside, the magnetic traveling folk duo Xander Hitzig and Nicole Olney weave dusty harmonies, rootsy rhythms, and a touch of cosmic twang into songs that wander through heartache, hope, and the strange beauty of belonging everywhere and nowhere at once. Whether busking on the sidewalk for hundreds outside of Hardly Strictly in San Francisco, or playing their at-home packed Thursday night residency in Maui, the Desert Hollow live show leaves an undeniable impact. Their new warmly received 2026 record, Music for the Folks, delivers their unique blend of heartfelt storytelling, rootsy instrumentation, a few background vocal harmonies by Lukas Nelson, and folk music —music for the folks.

Fiddler, banjoist, and singer Joseph Decosimo has introduced audiences around the world to the beauty and vitality of traditional music from the Appalachian South. Decosimo draws on years of mentorship and community collaboration from his upbringing in Tennessee to his life in Durham, NC to create music that NPR All Songs Considered describes as “classic and current at the same time” and “pushing the sonic boundaries of old-time music ... gorgeous.” Fiery Gizzard, his 2025 Dear Life Records solo debut, reveals him as a powerful champion of traditional music – a sponge who soaks up as much as he squeezes out, a responsive artist who makes his genre accessible, and a magnet who can bring musicians of all sorts into his orbit with his same passion. He’s contributed to recordings by fellow Durham, NC projects Hiss Golden Messenger, Wye Oak, and Jake Xerxes Fussell, who compares Decosimo to “an astute jazz artist, with his perspective substantiated by a fundamental sense of melodic direction and delicate purpose.” Irish fiddle luminary Martin Hayes describes Decosimo’s trio recording Beehive Cathedral (Dear Life Records, 2024) as “grounded, subtle and refined.” He’s long been a key player in the US Old-time scene, winning a National Old-time banjo championship, a blue ribbon in the prestigious Clifftop fiddle contest, and leading the prize-winning Old-time band the Bucking Mules. /// “pushing the sonic boundaries of old-time music ... gorgeous” NPR Music All Songs Considered “an exceptional album” NPR Music “...warm, fuzzy, fabulous” ★★★★ MOJO “Decosimo wraps the plain-spoken melodies of pre-industrial America in layers of drone, giving them a spiritual resonance and mystery.” Aquarium Drunkard “There's no irony, no gloss – just an intuitive feel for time, tone and tune.” ★★★★ Songlines (Top of the World) “Come for the pastoral vibes and timeless hooks, and stick around for the Americana masterclass.” Bandcamp Daily (Essential Releases, Best of Country) “an energetic, enchanting, and often joyful set that feels both timeless and otherworldly” KLOF (Best Albums of 2025)
Armed with her father’s first guitar, a wry sense of humor and a startlingly cohesive and masterful tone to her writing, Elise Leavy writes and sings folk songs that sound like they came straight from Laurel Canyon in the 70's. Often likened to Joni Mitchell and Judee Sill, Elise says it must be the California seawater getting inside her head and heart from an early age. She has been writing songs since she was 8 years old. “I don’t really remember a time before I wrote songs and sang them for people- it’s just always been there…” Since graduating from the New England Conservatory of Music at the tender age of 19, she has taken to the road, having written over one hundred songs at age 27, and traveled the world singing them for the people. She was recently selected as a New Folk Finalist at the Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition, and for an official showcase at the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance in Albany, NY. Take note because this young artist has arrived as a songwriting force. She sang harmonies on Eamon O’Leary’s record, titled “The Silver Sun”, as well as Alexa Wildish’s “After Love”, and sang harmonies and played accordion on Liv Greene’s most recent record, “Deep Feeler”. She has opened for the likes of Olivia Barton, Sam Amidon, The Brother Brothers, The Murphy Beds, and Nora Brown & Stephanie Coleman, and has shared bills with Viv and Riley, Liv Greene, KC Jones, Gina Leslie, and Chris Acker, as well as many more.

Seattle’s The Bad Things are known for their eclectic blend of folk, klezmer, punk, and Americana. Formed in 2002 by singer-songwriter/accordionist Jimmy "The Pickpocket" Berg, the group quickly gained a devoted following with their theatrical performances and gritty, carnival-esque sound. Their music, often described as “cabaret for the end times,” weaves tales of love, death, addiction, and redemption with a raw, narrative-driven edge that draws comparisons to Tom Waits, The Pogues and Gogol Bordello. The Bad Things have released four albums on their Silent City Records label including "It'll All Be Over Soon" and "After the Inferno," each showcasing their talent for balancing the macabre with the melodic. They are currently working on their fifth, slated for release in the first half of 2026. Their live shows are legendary for their immersive, old-world atmosphere and dramatic flair, often incorporating theatrical elements that make them as much a visual experience as a musical one. Despite multiple lineup changes and evolving styles, The Bad Things remain one of Seattle’s most enduring and original musical acts, continuing to defy genre boundaries while maintaining a deep connection to their roots in the punk and folk traditions.
Mister Ink emerges holding some weird vaguely recognizable instrument you are probably right and wrong all the same. There will be stories. There will be howling and hollering. There will be oddly captivating rhythms seducing you into his world. A subterranean labyrinth of folk tales, dirty limericks, and salacious magic rooted in the ancient heartbeat of humanity. Somewhere in the mud where myth crashes into meat there is Mister Ink asking you for just a little more time. Mister Ink, the shouting songwriting engine for the enigmatic Peculiar Pretzelmen, strips down the apocalyptic atmosphere to a more negotiable bit of bombast in solo form. The odd instrumentation and primal grooves remain, held together by songs that might be ancient or maybe hastily composed on the way to the stage. Either way, a captivating bit of chaos is sure to occur, tattooing its charms on the dark corners of audiences wherever he appears.
John Coons and Jonah Wheeler, DOUBLE INDUMBNITY
Sparkling chanteuse John Coons and adult performer Jonah Wheelerreturn to Seattle with a new evening of queer frivolity, original songs, and unhinged mashups. At turns hilarious, horny, and heartbreaking, these two punslingers will stuff you full of queer joy like a reverse pinata. Following up John's dark comedy BLEAK at Seattle Town Hall in 2023 (and performances with the 5th Avenue Theater, ACT Theater, and the Seattle Symphony), partner-in-life-and-performance Jonah now throws his Broadway-arranger-turned-adult-star hat into the ring. Described as "something between late-night cabaret, avant-garde therapy, and a fever dream from too many espresso martinis," John and Jonah have been touring all the very gay places – Provincetown, Puerto Vallarta, New York City, San Francisco– and descend on the Rabbit Box on Sept 20.

Seattle songwriter Debbie Miller is like a tantalizing book of short stories. Her music has been described as a masterclass in contrast: wit wrapped around melancholy, vulnerability laced with irony. She disarms with humor, then delivers the kind of emotional depth that lingers long after the song is over. Growing up in New York as a classically trained pianist, she dabbled in theater, a capella, and finally songwriting in her mid-twenties. Since landing in Seattle in 2010 she has had many musical feathers in her cap, but currently she is most proud and surprised by the fact she has become an avid birder. Accordingly, she is currently working on her second full-length studio album ‘Birder’ due out in 2027.
Amanda Winterhalter fronts a dark Americana band in Seattle, weaving together threads of traditional ballads, gritty indie Americana, and blues-tinged southern rock. Glide Magazine calls her latest release What’s This Death - “A courageous work of the aching soul that is equally stunning and thought-provoking. Winterhalter showcases head-turning vocals that makes for a fascinating Adele meets Wanda Jackson vocal stew.”
The "friends" are a Seattle super-group comprised of Amanda Winterhalter,Debbie Miller, Tomo Nakayama, Rebecca Young and Aimee Zoe. Plus secret special guests!

Griffin House is an American singer-songwriter and storyteller. Touring and making records for over 20 years, House has a discography that includes over 13 albums. His debut record “Lost and Found” (2004) was featured on CBS Sunday Morning by music critic and then VP MTV/VH1, Bill Flanagan, who named House one of the best emerging singer-songwriters of our time.
After forging a loyal fan base through years of grassroots touring as an opener for acts such as John Mellencamp and the Cranberries, House broke through as a national headliner in 2009 with an appearance on Late Night with Craig Ferguson and the release of his underground hit “The Guy That Says Goodbye to You is Out of His Mind.”
The music documentary “Rising Star,” released on Amazon Prime in 2019, chronicles House’s journey through the music business, as he attempts to balance the challenges of life as a traveling modern-day troubadour with marriage, fatherhood and sobriety.
House’s music has been featured on prime time television shows such One Tree Hill, Rescue Me, Party of Five, and Everwood, and reviewed in magazines such as Paste, No Depression and Rolling Stone. American Songwriter writes “if you want to be blown away by raw talent, look no further than Griffin House.” His latest release “The Tides” is a five song EP recorded with Grammy Award-winning producer Jacquire King and is set for release on Aug 29, 2023. House will appear this year at Sisters Folk Festival and will continue his US tour in 2023-2024.

“With lyrics covering everything from vigilante cryptids to bad trips in abandoned trailers, Adira Sharkey’s songwriting sets her apart in the Americana scene. Her low-slung voice lends itself perfectly to her raw, unfiltered storytelling, where her songs take audiences to the darker side of love, longing, and life’s misadventures. Like any unusual art, her voice isn’t for everyone, even inspiring one YouTube commenter to note “weird voice.” Still others are won over by Adira’s low rasp: “[she’s] like if Cher was country”, explained PNW folk pop favorite Izzy Burns. Often joined by an upright bass player, her rhythmic vocal arrangements and percussive finger picking is complemented with traditional roots music accompaniment, delivering a punchy alt-country sound. She’s honed a bluesy folk feel from years of playing shows up and down the west coast, and has recently had the distinct honor of opening for Grammy nominated artist Kelsey Waldon at Seattle’s Sunset Tavern. Her forthcoming debut album evokes a genre melting blend of Tom Waits and Patsy Cline, with just a pinch of Ani DiFranco. “
Warren Jackson Hearne is a nationally touring singer, multi-instrumentalist, and finger-style guitarist who writes original music blending Southern, folk, experimental, jazz, and blues. Hearne has spent decades refining a style that the Great Falls Tribune calls “one of the most original folk musicians working today."
Warren was born to exceptionally musical parents, Lindy and Lynda Hearne. The Hearnes started Warren on music early, enrolling him in piano lessons at age four, continuing musical training in Memphis playing drums while spending formative hours in the control room at Ardent Studios where his father recorded. Lynda relocated to Montana, and through Warren’s schooling in Missoula, he joined the marching band and eventually found the guitar. By fifth grade, he was playing violin, bass, clarinets, and saxes, leading him to begin composing his own songs at age 15.
The Dallas Observer noted that 'everything Warren Jackson Hearne touches turns to gold', frequently nominating his solo work, projects, and collaborators for awards. If folk music is defined as either a type of traditional music that is passed down through families or as Mike Seeger puts it “all the music that fits between the cracks,” then Hearne is comfortable with that category.
He is working on a new solo album, an album for a new band, and longer pieces for theater and other multi-media projects. You can bet that all of these projects will strike the listener as different from the norm, for as the Denton Record-Chronicle says, "everything about him is authentically and uniquely him.

Friday, Oct. 30th // Doors 6:30pm // Show 7:30pm
Roxbury Saints have been steadily building a reputation as one of Seattle’s must-see live acts since 2024. Fronted by Pacific Northwest punk and soul veteran Dan Cunneen (Final Warning, The Obituaries, Zipgun, Nightcaps), the Saints are a genre-busting fever dream: torch ballads collide with swamp rock, soul grooves melt into sharp post-punk angles, and Latin-infused rhythms slip beneath defiant blues howls. Anchored by Randy Lee Fader (Dusty 45s) on guitar, Jason Reavis (Boss Martians, Jaguar Paw) on drums, and Mark Wooten (Zipgun, American Flats) on bass, the band fuses decades of collective history into a raw, modern-day sonic juggernaut.

On her third album with Oh Boy Records, and her fifth since beginning her career a decade ago, Emily Scott Robinson once again unveils her mastery as a performer and storyteller. With her 2026 release Appalachia — recorded at Dreamland Recording Studios with Grammy-nominated producer Josh Kaufman — Robinson opens herself up to experimentation and sings in her crystal-clear voice about resilience, love, grief and hope.
Robinson’s talent is no surprise to the music industry — she’s now a veteran touring artist, both at home and abroad. Her records Traveling Mercies (2019) and American Siren (2021) each landed high on Rolling Stone’s “Best Country and Americana Albums” and Stereogum’s “10 Best Country Albums” year-end lists. She’s been lauded by the Washington Post, Billboard, American Songwriter and No Depression, and earned the 19th spot on NPR’s “100 Best Songs of 2021” with her song “Let ‘Em Burn.” It was her 2020 release “The Time for Flowers,” an anthem of hope recorded at home in the midst of the global pandemic, that caught the attention of Oh Boy Records, the independent label founded by John Prine in 1981. Robinson jumped at the opportunity to join the free-spirited and beloved record label carrying on her hero’s legacy. Robinson believes the songs on Appalachia are the best she’s ever written — she sings about her grandmother slipping into dementia, a cash-only saloon full of characters, and gratitude for life, despite its hardships. The album features a duet with Grammy winner John Paul White that celebrates the kind of love that comes with scars and age, and a hymn for anyone who’s ever failed or fallen short.
“There’s this thing I do with every record I make,” she says. “I knit a prayer into it, and I ask for all these songs to find their way to everyone who needs them. I ask these songs to be of service, to help people find and experience joy.”

Brood Awakening - Monthly Student Jam Session
The Rabbit Box presents Brood Awakening ~ Monthly Student Jam Session with The Student House Rhythm Section with special guest, Joe Doria on organ
Sunday, Aug. 16th / 4pm to 6pm
Free Admission! This ongoing series is self funded and open to student musicians that want real jazz jam session experience!
“ Hi! We’re Brood Awakening, a student jazz group from Seattle. Over the last two years, we've hosted a monthly all-ages jam session at Seattle Jazz Fellowship and the Black & Tan Hall. It has been one of the most meaningful parts of our musical journey. We’ve met other musicians, learned a lot, and gained real experience performing on stage.
This year, we’re looking for funding to launch our own Brood Awakening Student Jam Session. It will be a free, monthly jazz jam for students in the greater Seattle area. It will be hosted at The Rabbit Box, located in the heart of Pike Place Market (the former Patti Summers jazz nightclub). We are incredibly grateful to them for hosting this event and supporting student musicians!
This season will run from February through June, and we plan to pick it back up again in August 2026 for the next season.”

Little-Rock-born singer-songwriter Adam Faucett carries a voice “that knocks your brain into the back of your skull” (The Onion A.V. Club) and a catalog of swamp-soaked folk, blues, and cosmic Americana that has landed him on stages with the likes of Jason Isbell, Lucero, King Buzzo and Weedeater. Since going solo in 2006, he has released six critically praised albums—most recently New Variations of the Reaper (Last Chance Records, Sept. 2025)—and toured relentlessly across the U.S. and Europe, earning spots on American Songwriter’s “Top 50 Albums of the Year” and PopMatters’ “Top 20 Americana Albums.” His Arkansas-gothic narratives, keening and wailed, make any spot feel genuinely present, but somehow timeless.
Do It Scared ~ A Very Open Mic
Do It Scared ~ A Very Open Mic! Hosted by MQULTRA with special guest, Eric Howk
You might know MQULTRA better as Marquetta Miller, front woman of the now-defunct Seattle funk and soul band Breaks and Swells. Bad nights out, broken hearts, and self-reflection sit at the center of Miller's lyrical universe; MQULTRA is an exploration of her broader musical taste, with nods to power pop, yacht rock, blues and indie rock, while still informed by a deep love for R&B.
Eric Howk has been a point guard for countless acts on a global scale. Starting with major label success in the Seattle-based powerpop outfit The Lashes at the age of 19, he has since joined up with heavy hitters such as Dolour, Shelby Earl, Ruler, and many others, all of which led him to a spot with Portugal the Man, with whom he has appeared in over one thousand shows and recorded on multiple releases. Eric is based in the woods in a remote corner of the Pacific Northwest with his wife Kassandra, two horses, three dogs, and no cats. He is currently touring in support of his first solo LP, titled Skyking.

Spyglass / Dandelioness / Halley Greg / Old Man of the Woods
The Rabbit Box presents Spyglass/ Dandelioness / Halley Greg / Old Man of the Woods
Wednesday, Aug. 12th // Doors 6:30pm // Show 7:30pm
GA Seated $15 adv. / $20 door: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/spyglass-dandelioness-halley-gregg-old-man-of-the-woods-2026-08-12-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-5de736 * taxes & fees will be applied at point of purchase
Spyglass is a Seattle-based alternative rock project created by Louisiana born singer/songwriter Kaitlin Montero. Formed in 2014 in Lafayette, Louisiana, Kaitlin used music to cope with the trials and tribulations (as well as celebrate the joys and wonders) of growing up in the Deep South. After relocating to Seattle in 2021, Kaitlin reunited Spyglass with a renewed spirit, enlisting a close-knit group of friends and talented musicians to bring new life to the project. With songs born from earnest hearts, Spyglass exists to provide sonic experiences for the tenderhearted.
Arkansas-based Dandelioness is known for her radioactive falsetto, visceral performances, and the strange, hypnotic spell she casts on every room she steps into. Equal parts bohemian goth, cosmic diarist, and mischievous shadow-work guide, she turns rock clubs into listening rooms and listening rooms into portals. Onstage, Dandelioness growls, croons, or levitates in falsetto; she treats the act of performing like reading pages from her diary to a room full of strangers. The sound is a shimmering collision of fingerstyle folk guitar, infectious pop sensibilities, glittering vocoder, and the lingering southern drawl she inherited secondhand. Ethereal at first blush, her music hides a dark countercurrent: sex, death, kink, psychedelia, devils, and blush-inducing confessions wrapped in metaphor and delivered with a wink.
Seattle singer-songwriter Halley Greg first rose to acclaim during the blind auditions on Season 20 of The Voice. Her appearance on the show coincided with the release of her debut album, American Harlot, a feminist rebranding of the pop/rock albums of the early 2000s. Filled with distorted guitar solos and pithy pop vocal melodies, the album is an ode to angry women everywhere. The first line from the title track exemplifies Greg’s brand of sultry, cutthroat sass: “Welcome home dear / Take off your shoes / I’ll massage your feet and your ego, too.” Greg’s pure and ethereal voice cuts through raucous guitar riffs, while her lyrics are so thick with social critique they’re almost punk. Think the clarity of Regina Spektor, the attitude of No Doubt, and the arrangements of Paramore.
Old Man of the Woods is the ethereal electro-pop project of Seattle-based musician and multimedia artist Miranda Elliott. Blending intimate vocals, hypnotic harmonies, swirling synths, pulsing rhythms, organic textures, and atmospheric production, she crafts sonic lockets of crooned confessions. Raised on magical realism by a landscape painter and Jungian psychologist, Elliott began writing as a way of dialoguing with her subconscious, later expanding that inquiry across mediums. Often working site-responsively, she explores memory, ephemerality, and the porous boundaries between individual, environment, and collective, creating immersive audiovisual performances and installations. Having released multiple albums - her most recent Tendrils recorded while an artist in residence at an abandoned sanatorium outside of Berlin - and toured the US and EU, Elliott now shares Cape Perpetua. This series of ambient incantations, each track a poem gradually unfurling through vocal looping and harmonic layering into meditative washes of sound, is offered as an audio embrace during the winter’s dark chill, while she completes her forthcoming post-punk EP Triptych II: Revolve.

While most of these Moptop manqués are content to replicate the best-known songs from the Fab Four's rich catalog (not that there's anything wrong with that), Apple Jam dig way deeper ... Apple Jam have the skills to recreate the Beatles' melodic magic and vocal sonority in order to spotlight the obscure corners of their evergreen output.”
Far beyond other Beatles tribute bands, Apple Jam delivers unrivaled Beatles-infused musicianship and world-class showmanship, without wigs, costumes or accents. They approach Beatles music with enormous respect and devotion, and their jaw-dropping concerts must be experienced live to be fully appreciated. Apple Jam has performed at major venues on the West coast, the United Kingdom, and Finland.
Apple Jam's acclaimed album discography showcases Beatle-penned music outside of the official canon, and includes the following releases - "Off The Beatle Track" (2009), "On The Wings Of A Nightingale" (2012), "Off The White Album" (2018), and "Beatley" (2024). The Art Critique Comedy Show
Get ready for an unforgettable event where comedy and art collide! The Art Critique Comedy Show, comedians analyze a curated “art” gallery of forgotten works found in thrift stores before auctioning them off to the highest bidders. Through his original songs and idiosyncratic re-imaginings of the American folk vernacular, Odin Scott Coleman feels like the sort of musician your great-grandparents might have whooped and hollered for. Equipped with a banjo, a whistle worthy of working to, and a penchant for storytelling, Coleman spins a compelling yarn as he weaves together elements of the frontier ballad, IWW labor song, sea chantey, and Appalachian folk ballad. Though brought up in a maritime household in the great Pacific Northwest, Coleman moved to Los Angeles in 2021 after having spent a handful of years living, traveling, and busking around Europe. He has since established a strong presence in L.A.’s folk community, having performed at iconic venues such as Zebulon, the Hotel Cafe, and Club Tee Gee. He has conducted masterclasses with Alan Parsons OBE and has cinched a 1st place slot at the Topanga Banjo/Fiddle Festival three years in a row (‘24-‘26).
In 2026, his “Song for Renee Good,” posted on TikTok, was featured in Rolling Stone. He also performed at the iconic White Horse Tavern in Austin, TX for SxSW. In summer 2026, he will be releasing a short EP recorded live in-studio at Soggy Anvil Records.
Beyond his music, Coleman has worked as an illustrator, a professor, a line cook, a waiter, a dishwasher, a janitor, a maintenance technician, a door-to-door fishmonger, a black market tobacconist, and currently works in the family trade as a deckhand aboard a small Alaskan cargo ship.
With lyrics covering everything from vigilante cryptids to bad trips in abandoned trailers, Adira Sharkey’s songwriting sets her apart in the Americana scene.
Birdie is a songwriter living in Ellensburg, WA. Her songs cover topics ranging from heartache to heartbreak, the night before to the morning after and everything in-between.

Particular Ferns is the folk-pop project of Kevin Emerson from Seattle bands Model Shop and Math and Physics Club. Ferns draws from the early 00's stylings of Aimee Mann, Elliott Smith, and Wilco, with dashes of The Flaming Lips and Camera Obscura, to create a moody, introspective, and occasionally soaring cocktail of world-weary, empty-nest-core hope. The Ferns are working on their debut LP and playing in widening circles around the PNW.
Asher Deaver is a singer songwriter, artist and luthier. He is most known for his role as the lead singer for the indie-rock band Old Coast, and the owner of Blackcap Guitars, a custom guitar shop based out of Seattle, WA.
Kate Dinsmore is a singer-songwriter based in Seattle, WA. A dynamic performer and vocalist, Dinsmore brings her songs to the stage with an undeniable presence. Her music is powerful and emotional, with influences ranging from Jazz to Rock to Americana. Dinsmore’s performances quickly gained a following in Seattle, allowing her to open for notable artists such as Pat Benatar, Colin Hay, and the Dip. Her voice is triumphant and intimate. The perfect soundtrack to dropping off the last of your ex’s stuff and driving off into the sunset.

Amanda Knox is approaching forty, juggling motherhood, and finally getting around to being furious about the whole wrongful-imprisonment thing. And can she protect her from, well, everything, knowing her own mother couldn’t protect her no matter how hard she tried?
Amanda Knox is an author, journalist and exoneree who has transformed global notoriety into bold, boundary pushing storytelling. In Seattle, he has been making noise in the Ballard country/folk scene playing at legendary venues like Tractor Tavern and Conor Byrne Pub. He has shared bills with Dean Johnson, Leon Majcen, and Town Mountain, and is frequently found busking at Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. The songs of Hank Lemon explore themes of love from the road, long-term commitment, and looking at American life from the lens of a working class musician.

Named a “triple threat” by Bluegrass Unlimited, Abbie has made a name for herself as one of the only solo dobro troubadours in the country. Don’t let her infectious smile fool you, beneath that radiant exterior lies the soul of a fierce and fiery slide guitar player. You might know her best from her work with Americana darlings Red Molly, but Abbie Gardner centered her own gritty, sweet tales of love and loss on her 2022 solo album DobroSinger. It reached #11 on the Billboard Blues chart. She's a Kerrville New Folk Finalist (2025) and was nominated for Folk Alliance International's Artist of the Year (2025). Her live show is truly unique - heartfelt vocals and warm stage presence, backed up by top notch picking on an instrument that is more typically in the background. Come for the heartfelt, intimate ballads and stay for the raw, bluesy picking. Gardner’s got all your musical bases covered.
"Abbie is leaving her mark by trailblazing a new path. She has fused her dobro playing, singing, and songwriting into a seamless vehicle of musical expression. If you have never seen Abbie live you owe it to yourself to do so… and if you have seen her live…you know what I am talking about." - Mike England, Bluegrass Unlimited

Jessica Willis Fisher is a singer-songwriter-fiddler with a storyteller’s heart.
Raised playing traditional folk music from an early age, she performed with her family band in the Irish, Country, and Bluegrass music scenes and made appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and America’s Got Talent. Her Americana-leaning debut solo album “Brand New Day” features both deeply autobiographical lyrics and foot-stomping anthems. Her sophomore record “Blooming” is an ode to the power of knowing who we are, all our beautiful scars and vulnerable strengths included. Its main theme is the celebration of healing and growth as illustrated through the vibrant beauty of nature and features a blend of acoustic centered folk-Americana, singer-songwriter, and old-time sounds, including fiddle driven instrumentals.
Jessica is also the author of “Unspeakable: Surviving My Childhood and Finding My Voice” and is a passionate advocate for survivors of trauma. She lives in Nashville, TN with her husband Sean and Australian Shepherd, Bucky.
